Whats For Dinner?

We went to the farmers market today and so did everyone else. It was so busy!! choices were great, bought beets with greens attached, collard greens, bok choy, red and green cabbage, fruits, artichokes, spinach, kale, squash, zuc's, brussels sprouts, radishes, red yams, sweet potatoes, celery, honey,... you name it... I think we got it. We rushed home and washed and prepared easy snack foods and precut what we were cooking for the night. It was so fun!

Be empeccable

A wonderful book found me. The four Agreements.
The first Agreement is be impeccable with your word. Dissected and re read, tasted and touched... this is harder then I first imagined. Being impeccable with my word I thought would come easy because I thought that I already was. I am not... not to the extent that I want and need to be, and before I can expect others to be impeccable with their word, I must be impeccable with my word.

Off to work, more later.

Oh I am so excited! Today we put together my medicine cupboard. I went to Ikea and found a perfect piece for my kitchen area. It is a cutting board top and has closed cabinets. I have put my herb order in and have oz and oz, actually Pounds of herbs being shipped as we speak and a few of us girls are chipping in for our 5 gallons of Everclear. Tinctures, salves and syrups coming soon. I have recently purchased several medicine making books and also have handouts from class too. We will be stocked for years to come!
My back yard garden is on its way too. Between my boyfriends schedule and my schedule we haven't had much time to assemble it but it will only take a few moments and we will be ready to get some healthy organic soil to fill it.
I get free organic seeds sent to me for being a United Plant Savers member and have some cool contacts that will share some with me too. We are privy to some of the seeds that are growing at the naturalpathic college and other gardens around the valley.
I have met some wonderful people and will be networking in no time. I am so excited about all of this. I can't wait to graduate with my degree and be able to put better use to my knowlege.
peace and kindness, The herbie.
